Pour commencer la série de 33 tours provenant de la discothèque de RMC, il me semble logique de vous proposer l'album éponyme de 1980. Ce tirage Français par EMI Pathé Marconi possède un label EMI. Il existe deux types de label EMI pour le tirage Français: un avec le logo Gema, l'autre avec le logo Sacem. J'ai classé le Gema comme tout premier tirage pour la France, tiré en tout petit nombre, le temps que Pathé Marconi produise assez d'album pour contenter les fans Français. Ce n'est qu'une hypothèse. Donc le 33 tours présenté maintenant est bien 100% Français.
To start the series of LP from the RMC disco, it seems logical to propose you the eponymous album of 1980. This French print by EMI Pathé Marconi has an EMI label. There are two types of EMI label for the French print: one with the Gema logo, the other with the Sacem logo. I ranked the Gema as the very first print for France, printed in small numbers, while Pathé Marconi produces enough album to please French fans. This is only a hypothesis. So the LP presented now is 100% French.
Pour simplifier je n'ai pas scanné la totalité des mentions et crédits au dos de la pochette, vous les connaissez. Mais seulement les caractéristiques RMC. La référence RMC est V.193.623:

Le tampon avec la date indique le 28 mai 1980, soit 5 semaines après la date de sortie mondiale. Cela confirme que nous sommes en présence d'un tout premier tirage 100% Français pour cet album:
The date stamp shows 28 May 1980, 5 weeks after the world release date. This confirms that we are in the presence of a first 100% French print for this album.
La pochette est brillante. Si vous êtes un habitué de mon site pour savez que je tente de distinguer des tirages avec ce type de détails, et d'autres. Il existe 3 types de pochette pour la France: brillante, satinée et mat. On trouve de la brillante et de la satinée entre 1980 et 1984, et de la mat entre les deux.
The cover is brilliant. If you are a regular on my site for know that I try to distinguish editions with this type of details, and others. There are 3 types of cover for France: glossy, satin and matte. There is a glossy and a satin between 1980 and 1984, and a mat in the middle.
Venons-en a ce qui fait de ce disque une merveille ! Le tampon promo. En 1985 il y a eu un tirage promo Français lors des rééditions. On trouve quelques exemplaires promo de ce type de temps en temps. J'en possède deux. Ils ont un tampon embouti avec l'inscription "Disque gratuit - Interdit à la vente". Vous avez vu ce tampon lors de mon article précédent. C'est en fait le même tampon encré que les 45 tours de 1980 que l'on va trouver sur cet album. Mais placé différemment:
Let’s talk about what makes this record a marvel! The promo stamp. In 1985 there was a French promo edition during reissues. There are a few promo copies of this type from time to time. I own two. They have a stamped stamp with the inscription "Disque gratuit - Interdit à la vente". You saw this stamp in my previous article. It is actually the same ink stamp as the 1980's 7 inch that will be found on this album. But placed differently.
En effet ce tampon a été mis à l'intérieur de la pochette ! J'avais déjà vu ce tampon placé à cet endroit mais pour d'autres artistes, pas pour Iron Maiden. Reste à savoir comment il a été apposé car il n'y a pas beaucoup de hauteur. Je pense qu'il a été apposé avant que la pochette ne soit collée. Le texte est "Vente interdite - Echantillon gratuit".
Indeed this stamp was put inside the cover! I had already seen this stamp placed in this place but for other artists, not for Iron Maiden. The question is how it was affixed because there’s not much height. I think it was affixed before the cover was glued. The text is "Vente interdite - Echantillon gratuit".

Et aussi sur l'insert. Et pour une fois cet album a été passé sur les ondes, du moins une chanson au moins à quatre reprises en août 198, octobre 1980, février 1988 et mars 1988, avec surtout un programmateur portant les initiales FF.
And also on the insert. And for once this album was aired, at least one song at least four times in August 198, October 1980, February 1988 and March 1988, with a programmer wearing the initials FF.
Voilà pour la description. Je vous laisse allez sur mon argus pour voir la cote que je lui attribue sachant que ce type de promo ne doit exister que sur les doigts d'une main. Ou deux ! Et que la plupart du temps les gens ne regardent jamais à l'intérieur de la pochette pour voir s'il n'y a pas ce genre de signe particulier. Gageons qu'après la lecture de cet article, vous le ferez !

J'arrive au dernier 45 tours de la série RMC car, vous l'avez vu dans mon article précédent et mes photos, il n'y a pas de 45 tours dans le second lot RMC acheté. Ce tirage Français de Can I play with madness est intéressant car il montre un changement dans le classement par RMC des disques.
I arrive at the last 7 inch of the RMC series because, you saw it in my previous article and my photos, there are no7 inch in the second lot RMC purchased. This French edit of Can I play with madness is interesting because it shows a change in the RMC’s ranking of records.
La référence est 00028807, avec un code barre collé sur le devant de la pochette. C'est donc un changement dans la gestion des disques, probablement pour permettre une meilleur gestion des mouvements entre le stock et les studios:
The reference is 00028807, with a barcode glued on the front of the cover. It is therefore a change in the management of records, probably to allow better management of movements between the stock and the studios.
Il y a encore trois choses intéressantes sur cette pochette. Tout d'abord un sticker RMC. De forme ronde il est très visible:
There are three more interesting things on this cover. First of all a RMC sticker. Round shape it is very visible.
Puis le tampon date RMC, qui indique la date du 25 mars 1988. Ce n'est que 5 jours après la date de sortie officielle du single.

Et enfin le tampon promo, qui est rond et situé en haut à gauche de la pochette:

Deux commentaires sur ce tampon. Il est à l'envers, c'est à dire que l'embouti a été fait depuis le verso, et je possède une variante de Can I play with madness promo Français avec le tampon hexagonal. Le voici:

Tout comme la photo des deux disques de Scorpions dans l'article précédent, voici deux 45 tours datant de 1988, avec les deux types de tampon promo Français. Mais là où pour Scorpions les titres étaient différents, là c'est le même single. Pourtant, à ma connaissance, il n'y a eu qu'un tirage de ce 45 tours, donc pas d'écart important entre deux disques. Mon hypothèse est que le 45 tours pour RMC est celui de mars 1988, avec le tampon rond, et que celui que je possède déjà a été prélevé dans un stock quelques mois plus tard, disons vers fin 1988, et que cette fois-ci le tampon hexagonal y a été apposé. Pour ceux qui n'ont pas lu mon article sur le sujet je rappelle que c'est en 1988 que Pathe Marconi a modifié son tampon de rond vers hexagonal.
Just like the photo of the two Scorpions records in the previous article, here are two 7 inch dating from 1988, with both types of French promo stamp. But where for Scorpions the titles were different, here it is the same single. However, to my knowledge, there was only one draw of this 7 inch, so no significant gap between two discs. My hypothesis is that the 7 inch for RMC is the one from March 1988, with the round stamp, and that the one I already have was taken from a stock a few months later, say towards the end of 1988, and this time the hexagonal stamp was affixed. For those who have not read my article on the subject I recall that it was in 1988 that Pathe Marconi changed his stamp from round to hexagonal.
Les labels sont argentés, mais contrairement aux autres produits la référence n'a pas été inscrite dessus manuellement:
The labels are silver, but unlike other products the reference has not been written on it manually.
Et enfin l'insert est encore présent, alors que le code barre aurait pu laisser penser à une disparition de cette aide manuelle. Il n'en est rien et, sans grande surprise, ce single n'est pas passée sur les ondes de RMC:
And finally the insert is still present, while the barcode could have suggested a disappearance of this manual aid. It is nothing like that and, not surprisingly, this single did not go on the RMC airwaves.
