   En allant hier dans un magasin culturel pour acheter des livres je me suis rendu au rayon musique et j'ai eu la surprise de découvrir des vinyles du groupe daté de 2024 ! Très souvent je me rends à la Fnac du forum des halles à Paris, ou chez Gilbert Joseph dans le quartier St Germain et, bien entendu, je fouille très régulièrement dans le bac des vinyles du groupe. J'y vois de plus en plus de bootlegs et je jette un œil rapide aux 3 tours que je connais déjà. Et jusqu'à hier je n'ai rien vu. Mais ce samedi, sans savoir pourquoi, j'ai lu les crédit de l'album éponyme et j'ai lu "2024". Sachant que les derniers vinyles ont été mis en vente en 2014, bien entendu à part les rééditions en picture disc de 2020 ou le Tnotb de 2022.

   Going yesterday to a cultural store to buy books I went to the music department and I was surprised to discover vinyl records of the group dated 2024! Very often I go to the Fnac of the forum des halles in Paris, or at Gilbert Joseph in the St Germain district and, of course, I regularly dig into the group’s vinyl tray. I see more and more bootlegs and I take a quick look at the 3 towers that I already know. And until yesterday I saw nothing. But this Saturday, without knowing why, I read the credits of the eponymous album and I read "2024". Knowing that the last vinyl was put on sale in 2014, of course apart from the reissues in picture disc of 2020 or the Tnotb of 2022.

   Et donc il m'a fallu hier m'y reprendre à quatre fois pour bien lire 2024 et non pas 2014 et m'apercevoir que je tenais en main une réédition récente. J'ai donc acheté en même temps Iron Maiden, Killers et Piece of mind. En fait les 8 premiers albums, live inclus, ont été réédité en août 2024 en vinyle noir. J'ai pris comme référence l'année 2014 car il s'agissait de la dernière réédition en vinyle noir, celle vendue avec le coffret rouge, lorsque Warner a racheté le catalogue EMI.

   And so I had to revisit it four times yesterday to read well 2024 and not 2014 and realize that I was holding in my hand a recent re-edition. I bought Iron Maiden, Killers and Piece of mind at the same time. In fact the first 8 albums, live included, were reissued in August 2024 on black vinyl. I took as reference the year 2014 because it was the last black vinyl reissue, the one sold with the red box, when Warner bought the EMI catalog.

   On peut voir que ces disques ont été fabriqués en Allemagne. Pour plus de clarification je les classe en Europe sur mon argus. Un autre indice aurait pu m'interpeller avant: le code barre. Ceux-ci ont aussi changé. Mais qui connait les codes barres ? Pas moi.

   You can see that these discs were made in Germany. For further clarification I classify them in Europe on my argus. Another clue might have caught me before: the barcode. These have also changed. But who knows barcodes? I don’t.

   Par contre mon exemplaire comporte un sticker, qui se trouve aussi sur Killers. Ce sticker comporte deux adresses: une en Anglettre et une en Allemagne. WMIS en une filiale de Warner chargée de la distribution:

   Sachez enfin que ces rééidtions existent aussi aux Etats-Unis par BMG. Cet article résume bien toute la diffculté d'être collectionneur. Comment peut-on passer à coté d'une réédition qui a eu lieu en août 2024 (source discogs) alors qu'on est fan d'un groupe ? Je ne suis pas parti sur une île déserte. Je n'ai pas coupé internet. Je ne suis pas resté enfermé chez moi. Certes il n'y a pas eu de communication officielle par Warner et le groupe en août dernier pour l'annoncer. Après tout c'est juste un petit lifting 10 ans après le gros changement et le remplacement d'EMI par Warner. Mais a force de surveiller des changements sur les produits, CD ou vinyle, année après année, sans rien voir venir, je suis passé à côté le moment venu...

   Finally know that these reidtions also exist in the USA by BMG. This article sums up well all the diffculté of being a collector. How can we miss a re-release that took place in August 2024 (source discogs) when we are fans of a band? I did not go to a deserted island. I did not turn off the internet. I did not stay locked in my home. Certainly there was no official communication from Warner and the group last August to announce it. After all it’s just a little facelift 10 years after the big change and replacement of EMI by Warner. But has the strength to monitor changes on products, CD or vinyl, year after year, without seeing anything coming, I went by when it came...

Je suis très heureux de vous présenter des produits achetés lors du Mega Record de Hertogenbosch en avril 2024. Vous avez bien lu: 2024. Cela fait déjà un an que je suis allé dans ce temple du collectionneur de musique. J'ai profité d'un voyage en Hollande pour me rendre dans cette convention que l'on doit au moins voire une fois dans sa vie ! Plusieurs milliers de mètres carrés avec des stands et des vendeurs de vinyles principalement. Il y a aussi des CD et d'autres supports, mais le vinyle est roi.

I am very pleased to present you products purchased during the Mega Record of Hertogenbosch in April 2024. You read: 2024. It’s already been a year since I went to this temple of the music collector. J'ai rencontré quelques vendeurs français que je connais et vois sur des conventions en France, notamment à Auvers sur Oise, mais j'ai aussi vu des vendeurs inconnus, venant de toute l'Europe et même d'autres continents. Et d'ailleurs c'est sur un stand tenu par un Brésilien que j'ai acheté ce Iron Maiden.

I met some French sellers that I know and see at conventions in France, especially in Auvers sur Oise, but I also saw unknown sellers from all over Europe and even other continents. And by the way, I bought this Iron Maiden at a stand held by a Brazilian.

Les crédits indiquent qu'il s'agit d'un produit EMI Odeon. Je possède déjà le retirage de 1990 qui a été réalisé par EMI Odeon Fonobras et que vous pouvez retrouver sur la page consacrée à cet album. Cela vous permettra de voir les différences entre les crédits:

Les labels sont jaunes avec le texte noir et et les crédits rouges. La matrice reprend la référence partiellement, soit 07269, sans indication d'année comme c'est souvent le cas sur des tirages espagnols et par analogie, sud-américains:

The labels are yellow with black text and red credits. The matrix partially takes up the reference, 07269, without indication of year as is often the case on Spanish and by analogy, South American prints.

Au final une belle pièce que je n'aurai probablement pas trouvé en France et qui devient quasi impossible à acheter sur internet à cause des taxes d'importation. Et cela ne va pas s'arranger avec la guerre lancée par le président américain et qui va avoir des répercussions sur tout le commerce, vinyles inclus...

In the end a beautiful piece that I probably would not have found in France and which becomes almost impossible to buy on internet because of import taxes. And this will not settle with the war launched by the American president and which will have repercussions on all trade, vinyl included...

Vous avez déjà vu ce produit lors d'un article précédent il y a plusieurs mois lorsque j'ai présenté mon premier lot provenant de la discothèque de Radio Monte-Carlo. Cette édition Française de Piece of mind, avec le tampon promotionnel embouti et l'insert RMC, a pris bonne place dans ma collection.

You already saw this product in a previous article several months ago when I presented my first batch from the disco of Radio Monte-Carlo. This French edition of Piece of mind, with the stamped promotional stamp and the RMC insert, has taken a good place in my collection.

Lorsque j'ai enchéri sur le second lot je savais qu'en l'achetant j'allais obtenir un deuxième tirage identique provenant de la même radio. Mais en observant la photo du site de Drouot j'ai déjà constaté que le numéro de référence RMC était différent. C'est logique. Mais je ne savais pas si cet exemplaire était aussi promotionnel, faute de pouvoir agrandir suffisamment les photos disponibles. Ni s'il comprenait l'insert.

When I bid on the second lot I knew that by buying it I would get a second identical print from the same radio. But looking at the photo of the site of Drouot I have already noticed that the reference number RMC was different. It makes sense. But I did not know if this copy was also promotional, because I could not enlarge enough the available photos. Nor did he understand the insert.

Alors double complet ou pas ? La photo ci-dessus vous indique déjà que l'insert est bien là. Mais la référence est moins lisible. La voici: V.223596

Then double full or not ? The first photo above already indicates that the insert is there. But the reference is less legible. Here it is: V.223596

La référence sur le Piece of mind provenant du premier lot était V.255414. Un simple calcul indique qu'il y a un écart de 2000 chiffres entre les deux, et donc que l'exemplaire du second lot a été reçu dans la discothèque avec celui du premier lot. Vous me comprenez ? Pour être plus précis voyons le tampon date:

The reference on the Piece of mind from the first batch was V.255414. A simple calculation indicates that there is a gap of 2000 digits between the two, and therefore that the copy of the second batch was received in the disco with that of the first batch. Do you understand me ? To be more precise let’s see the date stamp upper.

Il a été reçu par Radio Monte-Carlo le 1er juin 1983. Et l'autre ? Le 02 août 1983. 2 mois et 2000 références nouvelles arrivées dans la discothèque, soit 1000 par mois. Que des 45 tours et 33 tours. Enorme, mais en même temps de tous styles. Et l'insert ? Pour une fois il a été renseigné lors de 2 sorties du disque pour des passages sur les antennes: en août 1987 et en janvier, sans précision d'année:

It was received by Radio Monte-Carlo on June 1, 1983. And the other? August 2, 1983. 2 months and 2000 new references arrived in the discotheque, that is 1000 per month. Only 45 tours and 33 tours. Huge, but at the same time of all styles. And the insert? For once it was informed during 2 releases of the disk for passages on the antennas: in August 1987 and in January, without specifying the year.

Les labels n'amènent aucune information supplémentaire, à part comporter la référence RMC:

Au final je suis très heureux d'avoir obtenu ce deuxième exemplaire de Piece of mind. Il est aussi en état neuf, promo, avec l'insert, et m'a permis de savoir que RMC recevait en 1983 au moins 1000 vinyles par mois pour alimenter sa discothèque. C'est un détail mais c'est toujours intéressant à savoir, comme un pan de l'histoire de ces collections détenues par de grandes radios.

In the end I am very happy to have obtained this second copy of Piece of mind. It is also in new condition, promo, with the insert, and allowed me to know that RMC received in 1983 at least 1000 vinyls a month to feed its disco. It is a detail but it is always interesting to know, as a part of the history of these collections held by large radio stations.

Cet article marque la reprise de mon études des lots RMC achetés lors des enchères internet chez Drouot à Paris. J'ai remporté cet autre lot, mis en vente plusieurs mois après les autres. Il comportait 4 vinyles et je vous propose de commencer par un 33 tours Français de Killers.

This article marks the resumption of my study of RMC lots purchased at internet auctions at Drouot in Paris. I won this other lot, put up for sale several months after the others. It had 4 vinyl and I propose to start with a French LP Killers.

Comme il s'agit du premier tirage Français de 1981 je ne vais pas détailler les particularités de celui-ci en tant que tirage. Vous connaissez ses particularités et tout collectionneur se doit d'avoir un premier tirage Français de Killers. Tout juste se rappeler qu'il possède un label dit "image" avec le texte rouge.

As this is the first French edition of 1981 I will not detail the particularities of it. You know its particularities and every collector must have a first French edition of Killers. Just remember that it has a label called "image" with red text.

Sachez qu'il existe deux variantes de ce label, avec le texte noir, et une autre avec du texte blanc. Cette dernière est consécutive à une mauvaise impression avec un décalage, plutôt qu'à une volonté de Pathe Marconi. Mais je la vois souvent au point que j'en ai fait un tirage à part entière.

Please note that there are two variants of this label, with black text and another with white text. The latter is a consequence of a bad impression with a lag, rather than a will of Pathe Marconi. But I often see it so much that I made a full-fledged edition.

Revenons sur le produit du jour. Comme tout vinyles ayant rejoint la discothèque de Radio Monte-Carlo, celui-ci a également reçu une référence inscrite au feutre sur la pochette et les labels. On a vu avec les autres vinyles déjà étudiés qu'il peut y avoir des exceptions sur ce marquage. On y reviendra lors du prochain article sur Maiden Japan. Mais ici il a bien été marqué avec la référence V 200565, tant sur le devant que sur le verso:

Let’s go back to the product of the day. Like all vinyl records that have joined the Radio Monte-Carlo discotheque, this one also received a reference inscribed in felt on the cover and labels. We saw with the other vinyl already studied that there may be exceptions on this marking. We will come back to this in the next article on Maiden Japan. But here it has been marked with the reference V 200565, both on the front and on the back.

Sur les deux scans précédents vous pouvez aussi voir la date d'enregistrement: 11 février 1981. Soit 9 jours après la date de sortie mondiale. On ne peut pas faire plus "frais" !

On the two previous scans you can also see the recording date: 11 February 1981. 9 days after the world release date. We can’t do more "fresh" !

Mais comme tout n'est jamais parfait je n'ai pas, hélas, l'insert typique qui servait a lister les écoutes en radio. Il a sans doute été perdu au cours de sa vie de produit de discothèque.

But as everything is never perfect I do not have, alas, the typical insert that was used to list the radio listenings. It was probably lost during its life of discotheque product.

Comme indiqué au début de mon article les labels sont typiques de ce produit Français, avec le texte rouge et aussi du blanc ! Comme je suis joueur je n'en ai pas parlé juste avant car je voulais vous indiquer ainsi que cette erreur d'impression est vraiment commune et présente dès février 1981. La référence RMC y est reprise sur la face A seulement:

As indicated at the beginning of my article the labels are typical for this French product, with red text and also white! As I am a player I did not talk about it just before because I wanted to indicate you that this printing error is really common and present since February 1981. The RMC reference is only on the A side.

Mais bien entendu ce produit est exceptionnel car il comporte aussi le tampon encré noir "Echantillon gratuit - Vente interdite". De nouveau il a été placé à l'intérieur de la pochette. On le voit très peu car l'encre est "passée" avec le temps. Je suis certain que si on regarde rapidement l'intérieur de la pochette sans y faire attention on pourrait passer à côté de ce détail si un jour on en croise un sur sa route dans une boutique !

But of course this product is exceptional because it also has the black ink stamp "Free sample - Prohibited sale". Again it was placed inside the pouch. We see very little because the ink is "gone" with time. I’m sure that if we look quickly inside the cover without paying attention we could miss this detail if one day you meet one on its way in a shop !

J'ai acheté de CD sur ebay il y a quelques mois. Pour être plus précis le vendeur était Français. Avec les frais de port et les taxes il devient très compliqué d'acheter des CD au Japon, aux USA et même au Royaume-Uni, la patrie des vinyles d’origines de tous les groupes importants.

I bought this CD on ebay a few months ago. To be more precise, the seller was French. With shipping and taxes it becomes very complicated to buy CDs in Japan, the USA and even the UK, home of the original vinyl of all major bands.

Il s'agit d'un tirage Japonais de Live after death, qui est intéressant car il existe trois premiers tirages pour ce titre. Le premier est celui qui n'a pas d'obi et qui comporte la mention "made in Japan" sur le CD et le livret. Voici le CD concerné:

This is a Japanese draw of Live after death, which is interesting because there are three first edition for this title. The first one is the one that has no obi and has the words "made in Japan" on the CD and the booklet. Here is upper the CD concerned.

Ce CD était en fait destiné au marché Européen, lors des premiers pas de ce format sur le marché musical. On le voit bien avec le logo Biem qui est adossé à celui de Jasrac pour les droits réciproques.

This CD was actually intended for the European market, during the first steps of this format in the music market. It is well seen with the Biem logo that is backed by Jasrac for reciprocal rights.

Le second a été mis en vente en 1987 sous la référence CP 32-5110 avec une obi rouge et un CD comportant un triangle noir. Malheureusement je ne possède pas cette obi car mon produit est incomplet. Mais voici le CD qui provenait d'un service de location:

The second one was put on sale in 1987 under the reference CP 32-5110 with a red obi and a CD featuring a black triangle. Unfortunately I do not own this obi because my product is incomplete. But here is the CD that came from a rental service.

Et donc venons-en au troisième tirage qui est assez identique à celui précité. En effet tout est identique à part l'obi. Car si celui de 1987 à une obi indiquant un prix de 3200 yens, celui de 1989 indique un prix de 3008 yens. Mais revenons à la jaquette et au dos du CD:

And so we come to the third edition which is quite identical to the above. Indeed everything is identical except the obi. Because if the 1987 one has an obi indicating a price of 3200 yen, the 1989 one indicates a price of 3008 yen. But back to the cover and back of the CD.

Au dos figure la date du 28 février 1987, qui est aussi celle visible sur le tirage de 1987 à 3200 yens. Pour rééditer ce CD, Toshiba a repris exactement les mêmes crédits. Et le même insert en noir et blanc tel que:

On the back is the date of 28 February 1987, which is also the date visible on the 1987 issue at 3,200 yen. To re-release this CD, Toshiba took exactly the same credits. And the same black and white insert such as.

Et si je poste le scan du CD vous constaterez que, à part les code barre de location, c'est le même:

Seule l'obi permet donc réellement de les différencier:

Si vous êtes attentif et connaissez un peu les tirages Japonais vous savez qu'il n'y a pas de date sur cette obi. Cela arrivera plus tard. Mais alors une question reste en suspens. Comment sommes-nous certains que ce retirage date de 1989 ? Nous ne le savons pas. C'est une date communément attribuée mais sans preuve réelle.On va dire que cette rééidtoin se situe entre 1987 et 1995, avec l'édition "Cool price". Donc pourquoi pas 1989 !

If you are attentive and know a little bit about the Japanese prints you know that there is no date on this obi. It will happen later. But then one question remains. How can we be sure that this withdrawal dates from 1989? We do not know. This is a commonly attributed date but without real evidence.We will say that this reality is between 1987 and 1995, with the edition "Cool price". So why not 1989 !

Comme évoqué hier dans mon article je vais vous présenter une dizaine de CD afin de faire une pause après une très longue série de vinyles et avant de voir les dernier lot RMC. Ce sont des CD achetés dans des boutiques principalement car, comble du collectionneur, je ne sais plus où j'ai acheté beaucoup de ces CD !

As mentioned yesterday in my article I will present you a dozen CDs to take a break after a very long series of vinyl and before seeing the last lot RMC. These are CDs bought in shops mainly because, to the collector’s delight, I do not know where I bought many of these CDs !

Le problème est que certains produits me marquent en tant qu'acheteur mais que d'autres sont plus courant et comme je n'ai pas noté leur lieu d'achat, je suis bien incapable de m'en souvenir surtout plusieurs mois après. Du coup j'ai décidé de lister mes produits sur un word en indiquant le lieu, pour mieux vous le restituer ensuite. Cela est important de savoir où on achète nos produits: boutiques, salons ou brocantes. Car dès fois on trouve des pépites en dehors de salons !

The problem is that some products mark me as a buyer but others are more common and since I have not noted their place of purchase, I am unable to remember them especially several months later. So I decided to list my products on a word indicating the location, to better return it later. It is important to know where we buy our products: shops, fairs or flea markets. Because sometimes we find nuggets outside of salons !

Débutons par un CD neuf, encore emballé, qui vient d'Argentine, son pays d'origine. J'ai dû l'acheter dans une boutique. Il s'agit du remaster 98 de The number of the beast. J'ai donc seulement scanné le recto et le verso du boitier car le plus intéressant se trouve au dos:

Let’s start with a new CD, still packed, from Argentina, his country of origin. I had to buy it in a shop. This is the 98 remaster of The number of the beast. I only scanned the front and back of the case because the most interesting is on the back.

Ce qui est intéressant déjà c'est de noté qu'il s'agit d'un tirage EMI, donc datant d'avant 2014 et la reprise du catalogue par Parlophone. Par contre je ne sais pas si c'est un original de 1998 ou un retirage de 2000 par exemple. Je n'ai pas assez de "matière" pour le définir, car seule la matrix pourrait m'y aider. C'est un travail que j'ai fait avec les remaster Europe. Et j'ai identifié au moins 6 différentes versions de ce CD avec des matrix réalisée par EMI Swindon, IMS Group ou Optimal Media par exemple. Je vous invite à lire ma page consacrée à ce sujet.

What is interesting already is noted that it is a EMI print, so dating before 2014 and the retake of the catalog by Parlophone. However, I do not know if it is a 1998 original or a 2000 removal for example. I don’t have enough "material" to define it, because only the matrix could help me. This is a work that I did with remaster Europe. And I identified at least 6 different versions of this CD with matrix made by EMI Swindon, IMS Group or Optimal Media for example. Trois autres détails attirent mon attention: le stciker noir, l'hologramme et le sticker Italien. Le sticker noir indique que ce CD est vendu seulement en Amérique du sud, en dehors du Brésil. Je pense qu'EMI avait passé un deal avec le Brésil pour garantir un monopole sur la vente dans ce pays et éviter des importations de CD venant d'autres pays:

Three other details attract my attention: the black stciker, the hologram and the Italian sticker. The black sticker indicates that this CD is sold only in South America, outside of Brazil. I think that EMI had a deal with Brazil to guarantee a monopoly on sales in that country and avoid imports of CDs from other countries:

L'hologramme garanti les droits sur les taxes en Argentine pour la vente de ce CD:

The hologram guarantees the rights on taxes in Argentina for the sale of this CD.

Et enfin le sticker Italien indique que ce CD a été importé en Italie, où là aussi les droits sont perçus sur les ventes. Et donc après avoir quitté l'Argentine et atterri en Italie, ce CD a terminé sa course en France !

And finally the Italian sticker indicates that this CD was imported in Italy, where also there are duties on sales. And so after leaving Argentina and landing in Italy, this CD finished its run in France !

Cet article concerne le dernier vinyle en date vendu par le groupe, à savoir la réédition 2024 de Somewhere in time. Du moins pour l'Europe car il était déjà sorti aux États-Unis il y a quelques mois. J'y reviendrais.

Un sticker assez simpliste indique que ce vinyle contient un insert lenticulaire en 3D qui célèbre le Futur past tour et surtout que le disque est jaune:

A rather simplistic sticker indicates that this vinyl contains a lenticular insert in 3D which celebrates the Future past tour and above all that the disc is yellow.

Je n'ai pas ouvert le produit et donc je n'ai pas scanné l'insert lenticulaire. Vous le connaissez probablement mais le voici en photo récupéré sur internet:

Pour ce qui est du tirage Americain je l'ai acheté lors de sa mise en vente en mai 2024. Je l'ai gardé patiemment sans vous le montrer et même sans savoir que 6 mois plus tard un autre tirage pour l'Europe allait être mis en vente. Cette version était vendue exclusivement via le réseau Walmart, en magasin et sur le net. Mais comme il est impossible de se faire livrer en Europe depuis leur site internet il faut obligatoirement trouver un vendeur Américain ou un importateur privé pour l'obtenir. Et bien entendu payer plus cher ! En parlant de prix, il est beaucoup plus onéreux que le Powerslave 2024, pourtant conçu avec un vinyle spécial. En effet, en Europe, si on trouve le Powerslave à 50€, le Somewhere in time vaut 75€ environ. Attention, je parle du prix réel sans tenir comptes des promotions type Fnac ou Amazon, promotion valables quelques semaines. Ce qui indique que c'est l'insert 3D qui augmente le prix.

Mais comme je ne fais pas forcément comme les autres, j'ai acheté un second vinyle Américain par un autre canal que le premier, et ce il y a quelques semaines. A première vue pas de différence avec le premier, ce qui est normal, mais en y regardant de plus près j'ai constaté une différence dans le visuel. En effet le dessin d'Eddie est décalé d'environ 5 mm sur la gauche entre les deux pochettes:

Provisoirement car j'ai encore le second lot a vous présenter en 2025. Mais cela indique aussi que ce produit va rejoindre ma collection et que je dois en acheter d'autres pour vous les présenter...

It is with a little pinch in the heart that I start writing this article for the last product of the RMC lot. Indeed, it means that I close this beautiful parenthesis and this magnificent purchase. Provisionally because I still have the second batch to present in 2025. But it also indicates that this product will join my collection and I have to buy others to present them...

Ce tirage de Seventh son of a seventh son est Français et provient donc aussi de la discothèque de Radio Monte-Carlo. Outre la référence écrite sur la pochette, cette appartenance est renforcée par un sticker RMC sur les recto-verso. Et la référence est différente de celle déjà vue: 0030094. Nous sommes en effet en 1988 et RMC a changé son référencement avec également un code barre:

Le tampon date est peu lisible mais j'arrive a y voir le 04 avril 1988, soit une semaine avant la sortie officielle:

Et d'ailleurs si RMC l'a obtenu avant la sortie officielle, c'est que ce tirage est promotionnel. On le constate en observant le tampon embouti sur l'angle supérieur droit de la pochette. D'ailleurs ce tampon a même impacté la pochette intérieure. Et ce tampon n'est pas rond, comme celui que je possède déjà, mais rectangulaire. Pour rappel en 1988 Pathé Marconi a changé la forme de son tampon promo, passant de rond à rectangle. Et sans que je sache pourquoi, il existe des promos Français de Seventh son of a seventh son avec tampon rond et rectangle. J'ai émis l'hypothèque que les deux tampons ont été utilisés durant cette année charnière, avant que le rond ne soit définitivement abandonné:

And if RMC got it before the official release, it is because this draw is promotional. We can see it by observing the stamped stamp on the upper right corner of the pouch. Moreover, this stamp even impacted the inner pouch. And this stamp is not round, like the one I already have, but rectangular. As a reminder in 1988 Pathé Marconi changed the shape of its promo stamp, from round to rectangular. And without knowing why, there are promos French seventh son of a seventh son with round and rectangle stamp. I have issued the mortgage that both stamps were used during this pivotal year, before the round was permanently abandoned.

Et que dit l'insert ? Le scanne ci-dessous est explicite. Tout y figure et surtout ce disque a été écouté 3 fois, du moins un titre a été diffusé sur RMC en août 1988, en avril 1989 et en octobre 1992. Enfin du Iron Maiden diffusé à l'antenne !

And what does the insert say ? The scan below is explicit. Everything is there and especially this record was listened to 3 times, at least one title was broadcast on RMC in August 1988, April 1989 and October 1992. Finally Iron Maiden on the air !

Les labels ne comportent toutefois pas la référence RMC dessus. Cela n'est plus le cas en 1988. Si vous observez le logo Sacem il est unique, sachant qu'il existe un retirage Français de 1989 avec les noms "Biem Sacem Sdrm":

Nicko vient d'annoncer qu'il ne tournera plus en concert avec Iron Maiden. C'est une triste nouvelle mais il convient de respecter cette décision qui a du être terrible a prendre pour lui. Mais à 72 ans il est temps pour lui de jouir d'une retraite bien méritée et de passer du temps avec ses proches et profiter de la vie sans pression, avions, hôtels et autres désagréments d'une tournée. Gageons qu'il voyagera encore mais pour ses loisirs.

J'ai découvert Nicko en 1981 lorsqu'il a enregistré l'album "Marche ou crève" avec Trust. Puis il est parti en 1983 pour Iron Maiden lors d'un échange avec Clive, qui lui aussi à joué pour Trust sur l'album "IV". Nous étions alors fiers, en France, de voir des batteurs tels qu'eux jouer pour le plus grand groupe de hard rock hexagonal de l'époque.

La suite nous la connaissons tous avec Piece of Mind et tant d'autres albums avec Iron Maiden. Merci à Nicko pour tout ce qu'il a apporté au groupe et à la musique en général. Qui jouera avec le groupe en 2025 ? Nous pouvons compter sur Steve pour trouver un batteur digne du poste. Mais une page se tourne. C'est triste mais il faut l'accepter. The show must go on !

Nicko has just announced that he will no longer be touring with Iron Maiden. It is sad news but it is necessary to respect this decision which must have been terrible for him. But at 72 years old it’s time for him to enjoy a well-deserved retirement and spend time with his loved ones and enjoy life without pressure, planes, hotels and other inconveniences of a tour. We bet he will travel again but for his leisure.
